“I never put off till tomorrow what I can possibly do the day after”
Mark Twain
Greetings Comedy Crowders,
In the maelstrom of productivity advice and so-called wisdom of your YouTube videos, self-help books, and TikTok sermons, there is often an assumption that your effort is pointing its barrel at the right target.
But maybe it's not. Maybe the best productive hack is to sack it off, or rather, to know what you can ignore. Or get someone else to do.
AI could become a creative’s friend in this context - transcribing, summarising, reading T&Cs, remembering birthdays, removing the guff from a potentially useful blog that’s been stuffed with slop so you see more ads.
It can’t replace this newsletter though…
COMMUNITY NEWS
Match Of The Daly
Top Comedy Crowder Jim Daly is taking his show “Match Of The Daly” on tour for the first time. Jim is a great example of carving a perfect niche for himself within the comedy stratosphere. His focus on “football silliness”, and being the antidote to football taking itself seriously, has lead him to an online following of 350,000+ and opened the doors to many exciting collaborations.
In Jim’s case finding a niche has been more about a subject, audience and style rather than a medium, showcasing this across filmed sketches, podcasts, broadcast and live shows.
We first worked with Jim on a commissioned sketch for O2 Telefonica alongside his long term collaborator, and fellow OG Comedy Crowder, Dave Bibby.
If you are into football and comedy, we recommend checking out Jim in action on tour here:
