"Not all those who wander are lost"
J.R.R. Tolkien
Greetings Comedy Crowders,
There is much to be said for a wander. Great ideas can emerge from a bimble without aim or destination. The lack of obligation seems to free the mind as much as the body.
But we suspect that Tolkers is referring to the metaphorical sense that it can be a good thing to flit between goals, ambitions, hobbies… income sources even. And so that can be true for comedy, we believe, as long as you are giving each flirtation the time and energy to evaluate whether it was worthwhile, and sustainable, for you.
We have some very interesting flirtation themed news this week, along with all the opps you’ve come to expect…
COMMUNITY NEWS
Play The Dating Game!
Over the last few months we have been partnering with top Comedy Crowd writer and director Victor Hampson, along with many talented CC creators, to develop a comedy 360 dating experience - The Dating Game 💞.
And it has just gone live on Youtube as you read this newsletter!
As it’s 360 video, you get to experience the dates from the POV of either Terrance or Sophie, and choose who you want to date next.
Over the coming weeks we will introduce one of their date characters.
Starting with Terrance (played by Victor Hampson) on a date with Tracy (played by Farrel Heggarty).
You can enjoy the full date with Tracy right here:
And unlike a real date, you can abort and return to home at any time to choose a different date here:
Enjoy!

Remember in times before dating apps when people used personal ads in the newspaper to find love? No us neither. But just incase we are lying about that and actually do - heres a hashtag challenge…
To celebrate the release of The Dating Game, we are looking for your funny old-school classified dating ads for famous people (or things). What would they say about themselves to attract a mate? Let us know by posting your funny personals to #thedatinggame #comedycrowd

Things We Have To Forget In Order To Live
This is a very interesting short video on the ‘School of Life’ channel. It talks about the lies we knowingly tell ourselves in order to get through the day to day, and at its heart is self-awareness. As comedy creators we can tap into these truths as we create characters (with motivations) and situations that are deeply relatable.
Newsletter over and out.
Carry on creating and we'll see you next week.
